The year 1961 started with Elvis being knocked off the top spot by Johnny Tillotson with 'Poetry
in Motion'. But it would be another great year for Elvis with four more No1's and one Top 10 hit.
Of note, is that this one Top Ten hit, 'Wild in the Country / I feel so Bad' was actually a No1 on
the NME Chart in September but only reached No4 on the 'Official' Record Retailer Chart.
Another odd thing, is that the GI Blues LP actually managed a chart placing in the NME singles
chart on the first chart of the year! So here we go with 1961....
